Birkfell Warmbloods is a small breeding and competition barn in British Columbia, Canada. It is run primarily by Christine Watson - Mazur and family. We specialize, but not limited to, the Dutch Warmblood breed and the sports of Dressage and Jumpers.

The name Birkfell came from my Gran. She was one of the first people to bring Border Terrier dogs in from England. All of her dogs carried the kennel name of Birkfell in front of their name and were very successful show dogs. Gran's dogs were the foundation for the breed in Western Canada and as Gran and I were extremely close it is my hope that my horses will live up to the successful name of Birkfell!

I grew up riding, since I was 5. I spent my years in the Pony Club systems where I did rallies, quiz, Prince Phillip Games and finally acheived my B2 level. Much to my disappointment I did not get my A level only due to no testing held anywhere in Western Canada at the time. I have 3 day evented and competed in Dressage since I was 8. I competed Young Rider's Dressage and have many wins and championships to my credit. The last few years has been developing young horses and some sales. I am lucky now to have built up the quality horses that I have and I am really looking forward to developing their full potential.

I want to thank my family for all of the support over the years and years to come of competing with the horses.....Especially to my mom an endless inspiration, top quality tack cleaner, and great barn company! My dad the truck driver, pro horse loader, and expert in getting a horse un-cast! And to Gary, my new husband, for building me this website to show my horses off and understanding my relationship with my 4 legged family!

Enjoy my website. We are going to keep it very current with news and photos.

Kindest Regards,
Christine Watson - Mazur
